Turning the Key

This afternoon, I decided to continue procrastinating on getting the study done and instead cleaned up the cab. I sat down in the driver’s seat and decided to check if Miranda would start since the battery didn’t appear to be too low. But I knew that she’s been sitting for six months, so I expected a few hiccups.

HA HA HA HA

I turned the key and Miranda started immediately, smooth as can be. I let her run for a bit, enjoying the purr of her V-10 engine.

Two weeks from now at about this time, I should be pulling into the Moose Jaw Walmart.

  1. I am excited for you!!!

    Can’t beat those Ford V-10s.

We’ve been on the road three weeks, enjoying this gorgeous 28 C weather in the sunny state of Florida with our v-1o engine.

Only thing three weeks from today we will be back home to income tax etc.

    Happy travels…..

  2. The V-10s are great until they go wonky during altitude changes. 😀

It’s really beautiful weather here, too, and I’m nervous about going east at this time of year, but my gypsy blood says wagons east! 😀

  3. Reliable, yes. I know she’s ‘just an RV’, but my gal is so much more than that to me.

Here’s one of my favourite quotes from a captain about his ship:

“Love. You can learn all the math in the ‘Verse, but you take a boat in the air that you don’t love, she’ll shake you off just as sure as a turn of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she oughta fall down, tells you she’s hurtin’ before she keens. Makes her a home.”
