Today was my fourth day at my new job. It’s going super well so far. Management is thrilled and has informed me that they changed their mind about the ‘couple of hours a week, we can drop you without notice thing’ and will have me on nearly full-time till I leave Lethbridge. Well, that’s going to be a few more hours than I had planned on, but I’ll make it work!
We’re going to take it a week at a time in terms of scheduling, at least for now, to see how much they really need me. I envisioned working full-time the first and last week of the month and part-time in the middle two weeks and that’s exactly what they came up with, too. Us all being on the same page makes me feel optimistic. And I got a pay cheque today!
I’m getting keys on Saturday then it looks like could be on my own starting Monday… I think I’m going to read up on the Alberta Tenancy Act this weekend. 😀
Carnac the Magnificent sees new tires in your future!
Carnac needs to clean his crystal ball because what I see are new stripes on my RV!
(Tires will happen this winter in the States!)
Like a woman… Frivolity before function!
But the tires aren’t urgent! With the stripes come the whole exterior project, which IS urgent–I need to recondition my roof, do all my seams, pull my windows, etc., etc. I haven’t blogged about it, but I had another leak this week. Everything relating to the striping project urgent has to go on the top burner.
This has been a tough time for you Rae. I am really happy to see the tide has finally turned in your favour. I know you are not rolling in dough but at least now we know you will make it through the summer. Good for you!
Aren’t pay checks wonderful things to receive? Glad yours will be steady again. But, I hope you’ll still have time for transcription jobs since that will likely be available after you move on from Lethbridge and we would all hate to see you lose your ability to move on.
Linda, I’ve made it very clear to the job that my transcription business comes first because it goes with me when I move on.
I’m glad its working out so well. You sure earned it.
