We had a wicked thunderstorm late yesterday afternoon and the temperature then dropped dramatically. I woke up very early this morning because I was frozen solid and when I finally got up, I had to crank up the furnace!

It has been drizzly and windy and just generally unpleasant all day. I’m glad that I did my French Quarter excursion yesterday!

This being the 14th, I caught up on administrative and bookkeeping tasks, then did some laundry. I might as well make use of the free facilities! Late afternoon, I did a Walmart run.

I touched base with the Ford shop to make sure my part was ordered. Yes, and there’s no reason to believe at this point that I won’t have my truck back tomorrow afternoon sometime. But I also touched based with Enterprise and if I don’t have the car back by 10AM, then I have to pay for tomorrow.

I’ve paid for a sixth night here, so checkout is now Thursday. That gives my package till Thursday noon to get here. If it has not, I will need to move to another site as this site is reserved and they don’t move reservations. The park is empty, despite what I was told, so I can’t figure out why I wasn’t initially put in a site with lots of availability to renew. Typical government efficiency, I guess.
