I got 11 gallons of water at C&C’s this afternoon and used 5 to wash my work and around the house skirts. I am just so tired of wearing jeans! I think pants are unnatural and they are soooo uncomfortable. Fine for the odd night out, but for doing actual physical work? YUCK.
For all the trees I have, none work particularly well for a clothes line, so I’m using a rather pliable sapling branch and the RV’s ladder. Good enough for an emergency wash session! I can’t wait to up a proper clothes line once I find the perfect place for it. There’s a lot of shade on this lot and the line would be in the way in most of the sunny spots. I’m sure the perfect spot will make itself apparent once I get Miranda moved.
Oh Lord! You practically have to hold a gun to my head to get me to wear a skirt or dress. Besides making plus size ladies look fatter I find them so uncomfortable.
I don’t like how I look in a dress, but I look so much better in a skirt than I do pants. I started wearing skirts because I couldn’t find pants that fit properly. I even went four years without wearing pants at all.
From your posts your starting to sound cheerier….would you say your finding settling in to your rv lot a little bit of a reprieve from your last few months . I hope you find Saskatchewan welcoming f
I have not worn a skirt in years; I find them very uncomfortable so can’t imagine working in them now. For jeans, it’s all in finally finding the right ones. I’m lucky in that the ones that fit me best are sold at Walmart.
I haven’t worn a skirt in years either and can’t imagine doing physical labor in them. I need pockets! I just discovered last year that mens pants fit better than womens now that the average man is really fat and the style for women lack any sort of waist. The men’s pants have much better pockets and more of a waist nip than womens now. Plus the fad for short short womens – no thanks.
Tracey, I am feeling better, but there is a lot of stress. At least, I have the comfort of knowing that I don’t need to move Miranda for six months, so fewer chances of having major issues with her in that time.
Linda, I’m also able to find good-fitting jeans at Walmart. They don’t last long, but they’re cheap so I don’t mind replacing them. My work skirt is knee-length and just fitted enough to not get in the way while being stretchy. It’s way more comfortable than wearing pants.
Mary, most of my skirts have pockets! 🙂 And I have an apron like this http://www.whiteelegance.com/Women/Pioneer-Costumes/Pinafore/p158 with pockets to wear over the skirts that don’t (plus it keeps them clean).
I have better luck with mens pants because I’m built like a guy, no hips or booty!
